Pope Benedict XVI Makes Doctrinal History
In an unexpected gestures nobody could have predicted, Pope Benedict XVI changed the Catholic teaching on limbo. Although the teaching of the Church does not speak about the children who die and were not yet baptized, theologians still said they enjoy the everlasting happiness (the limbo state), but are not in communion with God. The decision is a missionary necessity, because the parents mourning their child must be comforted knowing their child was born in the state of grace and Baptism is only the first step of initiation in the life of the Church (...)
Turkey, Troubled Times
Giving away Bibles, debates on the message of Islam, humanitarian mission are all crimes in some regions in Turkey and those doing them risk their freedom or even their death. The case of the three men killed in Malatya has risen questions about the Turkish Authorities' ability to protect religious minorities. Also it raised questions about the availability of EU to receive Turkey and voices have been heard saying Turkey should withdraw its bid to EU. Tough times in there for Christians (...)

On April 21st, the synod of Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia met and decided again to go even further in preparation of the historical union with Moscow Patriarchate. Return To Pre-Vatican II?
In recent years, the Catholics have demonstrated an appetence toward a return to past liturgical practices. There are a number of monasteries and parishes that practice the Liturgy as it was before Vatican II, under the 1984 indult. But now, the Catholic community on the internet and leading researchers and observers in Vatican say Pope Benedict XVI will return to motu proprio, to the Liturgy in our own way.
