Churches Urge Apology For Slavery
While the Jewish Holocaust is well-known to Europeans, because it relates to their near past and to scars not yet fully wounded, they do not remember another holo0caust for which they are responsible: the African slavery trade. The Ecumenical Church leaders declared this is an event to remember and demanded apology for all the trade crimes. All kinds of social groups are touched by this change: German butchers loose their clients, because Muslims spit on pork sausages and a German judge ruled Koran allows the physical abuse of women. The proper answer may come from a simple, efficient and loving method: welcoming Muslims in the Christian communities in order to understand their way of life and their values (...)
