 Renowned Danish scholar Professor Anna Marie Aagaard turned 70 on January 14th. This was celebrated by Aarhus University with lectures in honor of her by Professor Risto Saarinen from Helsinki University in Finland.
Saarinen lectured on the Lutheran-Orthodox dialogue and about
ecclesiology of gift and imitation (subject of a forthcoming book).
Saarinen reveiled that Anna Marie Aagaard will receive the degree of honorary doctor from the University of Helsinki later this year. After the lectures a reception was held and former colleques of professor Aagaard surprised her by presenting a festschrift entitled Cracks in the walls. Essays on Spirituality, Ecumenicity and Ethics. The book has contributions by: Peter Bouteneff, Ellen Juhl Christiansen, Lisbet Christoffersen, Ulrich Duchrow, Niels Henrik Gregersen, Knud Jeppesen, Peter Lodberg, Viggo Mortensen, Johannes Nissen, Eva Nordentoft, Else Marie Wiberg Pedersen, Konrad Raiser, Martin Robra, Risto Saarinen, Turid Karlsen Seim, Mary Tanner.
The book also contains a bibliography of 17 pages written by Habitus member Helle Rosenkvist together with Erik Jørgensen.
